Introduction

Coinka ("we", "our", "us") operates the Coinka Telegram Mini App and Bot. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Information We Collect

When you use Coinka, we collect the following information provided by Telegram:

• Telegram user ID, first name, last name, and username
• Language preference from your Telegram settings
• Financial data you enter: transactions, categories, accounts, and budgets
• Voice messages (processed via OpenAI Whisper, not stored after transcription)

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the Coinka service: recording transactions, generating statistics, creating AI reports, and managing shared budgets. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encrypted connections (TLS/SSL). Access to your data is limited to your Telegram account. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction of your data.

Third-Party AI Services

Coinka uses the following AI services for data processing:

OpenAI API (USA) — premium features: Financial Advisor, Forecast, Chat. Only anonymized transaction metadata (amounts, category names, dates) is sent to OpenAI. No personally identifiable information (name, email, Telegram ID) is ever shared.

OpenAI Whisper API (USA) — voice message recognition. Audio recordings are processed for transcription and are not stored after processing.

Google Gemini API (USA) — receipt photo recognition. Images are processed to extract transaction data and are not stored after processing. Photos may contain personal data (names, addresses, card numbers) — users provide separate consent before first use.

All API calls to AI providers are made server-side — client apps do not communicate with them directly.

Data Transfer via Telegram

Coinka operates as a Telegram Mini App and bot. All interactions with the service pass through Telegram servers (Telegram FZ-LLC, UAE). During authorization, Telegram shares your Telegram ID, first name, last name, and username with us. For more details on how Telegram processes data, see Telegram's Privacy Policy.

Cross-Border Data Transfer

When using AI features and payment services, your data may be transferred outside your country of residence to: OpenAI, Inc. (USA), Google LLC (USA), Telegram FZ-LLC (UAE). Such transfers are made with your consent and solely for the purpose of providing our services. We take necessary measures to protect your data during cross-border transfers.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account directly in the app: go to Settings → Delete Account. Your personal data (name, email, identifiers) will be permanently erased and your account will be anonymized. You can also request deletion by contacting us at hello@coinka.co.
